Abertillery & Llanhilleth Community Council appointed Riley Overton and Jackson Powell as its two Youth Representatives for 2025-26 at the Full Council meeting on November 26th 2025.
These appointments end on November 25th 2026.

Youth Representatives are appointed in accordance with the Local Government (Wales) Measure 2011, Chapter 4. They must be aged 15-25 and will represent the views of young people in the area to the Council.
We offer our Youth Reps free training, a dedicated Council email address, and the opportunity to take part in our meetings and projects. They perform a similar role to our Councillors, but are unable to vote during meetings.
We’d also like to extend our thanks and appreciation to our 2024-2025 Youth Reps, Jackson and Sophie, for their valuable contributions.
